With the arrival of an aging society and advances in medical technology extending average life expectancy, coupled with a declining birth rate, caregiving pressure and burden have become increasingly severe. “Long-term care” is a situation that all of us will face sooner or later. Recently, a widely discussed Taiwanese drama featuring a well-known actress as the protagonist has portrayed—realistically and vividly—the hardships, exhaustion, and helplessness that caregivers often experience in long-term care.
