Notes for Asia University Students Taking Inter-University Courses at Other Universities:
-
Before enrolling in courses at another university, students must complete the “Inter-University Course Enrollment and Digital Self-Learning Course Application Form” and submit it to the Office of Academic Affairs for processing.
-
Applications are limited to courses not offered in the curriculum plan of the student’s department/institute/program at Asia University.
-
Inter-university courses must not conflict with scheduled Asia University classes. Otherwise, the credits earned will not be recognized.
-
The approved number of inter-university credits each semester will be counted toward the maximum credit load at Asia University. Handling of failed credits that meet dismissal standards will follow relevant provisions of the University’s Academic Regulations.
-
For bachelor’s degree students, the maximum number of inter-university credits per semester is 5 credits.
For approved distance-learning courses at other universities, the credits taken should, in principle, not exceed one-third of the student’s total credits for that semester.
For master’s students, the total inter-university credits counted toward graduation is generally limited to 3 credits. -
For Asia University undergraduate day program, master’s, and doctoral students taking courses through the Central Taiwan University System (China Medical University, Tunghai University, Feng Chia University, Providence University, and Chung Shan Medical University), courses must still be limited to those not offered in Asia University’s curriculum plan, but they are not subject to the credit limits stated in Item 5.
-
After completing all approval procedures in sequence, submit the original application form to the host university.
A photocopy must be submitted within the specified deadline to the Division of Registration and Curriculum, Office of Academic Affairs, and students should keep a copy for their own records.
If a student decides to withdraw from inter-university enrollment, the original form must be returned to the same division for cancellation. -
All matters shall be handled in accordance with the University’s Academic Regulations and the Guidelines for Inter-University Course Enrollment and Digital Self-Learning Courses.
