The Department of Long-Term Care at Asia University recently held a career lecture titled “A Comprehensive Analysis of the Care Management Specialist Role in Long-Term Care 3.0.” The department invited Ms. Chen Hui-Juan, Care Management Supervisor at the Long-Term Care Management Center of the Taichung City Public Health Bureau, to guide students in understanding the direction of the new Long-Term Care 3.0 system and the pivotal role of Care Management Specialists (CMS) within it.

The lecture explained that Long-Term Care 3.0 continues to be community-based, strengthens the linkage between healthcare and long-term care, and advances toward the goals of “healthy aging, aging in place, and dignified end-of-life care.” It also adopts a phased approach to expand service coverage and program content. Through role-based explanations and practical case sharing, the lecture helped students clarify the competencies required for care management specialists and become familiar with future career settings, preparing them to become care professionals aligned with the Long-Term Care 3.0 era.
