The Department of Long-Term Care at Asia University recently organized an off-campus visit for faculty and students to ATLife 2025: Taiwan Assistive Technology and Long-Term Care Expo. Through guided tours of the exhibition zones and hands-on experiences, participants gained first-hand exposure to assistive technology applications and the latest developments in the long-term care industry. ATLife 2025, one of Taiwan’s largest professional expos in assistive devices and long-term care, was held from April 10 to April 13, 2025, at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 1.
During the visit, students explored a wide range of assistive devices and smart care solutions, including mobility and transfer aids, home accessibility and caregiving equipment, rehabilitation and sensing technologies, and digital long-term care services. They learned how technology can enhance safety, efficiency, and quality of life in care settings. This on-site learning not only broadened students’ understanding of the assistive technology market and device selection, but also helped connect classroom knowledge with future practice in clinical, community, and institutional long-term care environments—strengthening professional competencies aligned with industry needs.
