AI × VR Aging Experience Attracts Enthusiastic Participation

Asia University held the “Department Showcase and College Admission Placement Analysis Seminar” on March 7, 2026. The event featured a lively atmosphere, with not only university-level seminars but also a variety of department-organized experiential activities, attracting numerous students and parents.

The Department of Long-Term Care from the College of Nursing presented “Learning Care Through Play: AI × VR Aging Experience,” which became one of the highlights of the event. In the “Time-Travel Aging Challenge,” participants wore aging simulation suits and performed daily activities such as walking and bending, allowing them to personally experience the physical and sensory changes associated with aging. The activity sparked both laughter and amazement, while deepening participants’ understanding of the challenges faced by older adults.

In addition, the “Generative AI Virtual Elder Interaction Experience” integrated virtual reality technology to simulate real caregiving scenarios. Through immersive interaction, participants gained insights into the applications of smart healthcare. Many students shared that the VR experience was not only engaging and innovative, but also helped them better understand the future development of nursing and long-term care professions.

The event also featured interactive check-in activities, where participants who completed the experience stations received small gifts, enhancing engagement and enjoyment throughout the event.

With enthusiastic participation from faculty, students, and visitors, the event concluded successfully. It not only showcased the department’s integration of technology and caregiving in its teaching approach, but also helped raise awareness of the value and future potential of long-term care.
